Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Sprinkler Designer to join a team focused on commercial tenant improvement and new-construction projects. This career opportunity combines design, project coordination, and client communication for automatic fire sprinkler systems.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience creating system layouts in AutoCAD, performing hydraulic calculations, and coordinating closely with general contractors, engineers, and field staff. This position includes sponsored training and certifications relevant to fire protection design and project management.
Key Responsibilities

Design and draft fire sprinkler systems for commercial projects using AutoCAD.

Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and other subcontractors to collect required design data.

Prepare detailed drawings, hydraulic calculations, and complete material listings.

Ensure design accuracy and compliance with NFPA and local codes.

Work cross-departmentally to hand over all project documentation for installation.

Track and maintain submittals, change orders, permits, and project documentation.
Must-Have Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Designer.

Expert proficiency in AutoCAD.

Experience using Bluebeam and performing hydraulic calculations.

Strong understanding of NFPA and building codes.

Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have

NICET certification (Water-Based Systems Layout Level II or higher).
